Charity of choice for 2021 – Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation (NSIF)
At nsif their aim is simple and life changing: to develop a biological treatment for spinal cord injury (SCI). They want to enable people with paralysis from SCI to enjoy everything that is so easy to take for granted: from walking to basic bladder, bowel and breathing functionality, sexual function and living independent lives.
Funding two interlinked areas of pioneering research, at the University College London's Institute of Neurology and its clinical application through the Wroclaw Walk Again Project in Poland, they believe they are on the verge of changing the lives of millions globally. nsif is a tiny charity that does not receive any government grants and are entirely reliant on supporters like Lazerbeam to be able to fund this important work. Charity of Choice for Second Half of 2021 and 2022 – Evelina Children’s Hospital
This Christmas past, our team have been raising funds for the Evelina London’s Specialist play fund through our JustGiving page, in order to ensure there were gifts for all the children cared for at Evelina London. As this is a charity close to our hearts we will continue to run this JustGiving page throughout 2022 ensuring we can raise even more funds for the Evelina Patients and help children and young people live their best lives today and tomorrow.
