At nsif their aim is simple and life changing: to develop a biological treatment for spinal cord injury (SCI). They want to enable people with paralysis from SCI to enjoy everything that is so easy to take for granted: from walking to basic bladder, bowel and breathing functionality, sexual function and living independent lives.
Funding two interlinked areas of pioneering research, at the University College London's Institute of Neurology and its clinical application through the Wroclaw Walk Again Project in Poland, they believe they are on the verge of changing the lives of millions globally. nsif is a tiny charity that does not receive any government grants and are entirely reliant on supporters like Lazerbeam to be able to fund this important work.
